Notes About The Poem

Wonderful

W ellness is our glorious gift this year.
O rigami cranes set in flight by the winds
N avigate the festive New Year celebrations
D elighting children and the young at heart with
E ternal life and freedom they signify.
R ewards of this past year are embraced by
F amily and friends as they gather together
U nified in giving grateful homage for Divine
L ove bestowed in answered prayers.

Hi Connie, a wonderful acrostic. Life and love can be so wonderful and your words can make it so. Such a simplistic write and yet it can touch deeply as the visions permeate in the mind. An excellent write on the theme of wonderful. Such a simplistic write that can say so much Connie. I see a seven on the horizon. Belated congratulations on the win Connie, well deserved....Vlad.

I tried but just couldn't say what I wanted and rhyme it too. I am very happy with my #6 placement. It helps that you let members know you prefer rhyme, so next time....Thank you very much John. I enjoyed writing this poem for your contest. Mahalo and Aloha, Connie

A lovely write, full of all we wish., Connie. My origami attempt at a flapping bird tends to come out looking like a mortally wounded deckchair, though. Viv x

Very well written. Your feelings surface and carry the emotional force behind your words. A touching and eloquent description of a special moment within your heart. Emile.
