* Ok, bear with me, for these couple *deep poems. And yes, I know... it's long. lol
Sometimes life, it takes a turn
Sometimes a very long one
Things going in a downward spiral
Out of your control, no matter what you do
There comes a time, you just can’t put on smiles
You can’t fake it, to be fine
You know one day, the direction will change
But for right now, it’s not that way
You do what you can day to day
As the sun sets on loneliness, darkness drips
You wait for the next sunrise to come
Because the rays of hope exist
Sometimes, there are not answers
Just a place of being amiss
So patience is now your friend
As waiting takes over time
For some, these turns can’t be avoided
No matter how hard you try
With many waking moments, wondering why
But here lies the truth:
- No life is perfect -
The winds change and move us
In a moment’s time, and without notice
Sometimes the winds keep on blowing
Bringing more and more your way
Where it seems you can’t stay still
- And so the practice begins -
- How to be still -
In the currents, through the storms
While staying afloat in the floods left behind
It can be done, one moment at a time
- When one does not wonder, *what if? -
