You are the tea leaves
I am the tea pot
I the tiny snowflake
and you the snow

I am me Mum, because of you-
if I, inherited even a bit of you I am blessed;
you had not an enemy in this world,
you were a listener, a friend, an anchor.
When I asked you, "Mum, what should I do?"
you would reply, "You know the answer."
We would talk about things in your garden,
sipping tea in the shade, just you and me;
we loved all seasons, walks in the rain and snow,
these are the memories I keep in my heart.
When I use your tea pot, I am with you,
when the rain falls on me, it is you;
when the snow kisses my lips, it is you,
when the sun shines on me, it is you.
Although you are gone Mum from Earth,
you are with me every moment of everyday.
