With Each Breath
Love was in a harvest beneath crimson skies
Unknown to the beloved before their eyes
Hope almost forgotten through losses in the past
Only misty fragments floating in memory to last
Too focused on the deep, dark shadow of pain
In the left over puddles laying after the rain
The tempest from yesterday had blown away dreams
Leaving the heart coming apart at the seams
But, with the grace of God came the shining light
On the shore of new beginnings waiting in sight
Compassion renewed, turned rust into gold
As two came together, truth would be told
Smiles were blooming across miles of land
Impressions made on ground where they stand
A love strong enough, it could never die
Was so bright, it lit up the entire sky
With each breath taken slowly and words left to say
There is this love that no storm can blow away
