[Over my lifetime, I have written many, many parodies of Joyce Kilmer's "Trees." I present this one for your pure enjoyment with utmost sincere apologies to Joyce Kilmer. Incidentally, many critics consider Kilmer's poem one of the worst poems ever written. Mine is worse, yet!]

(a parody of "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer) I doubt that we shall ever see A more handsome pair than you and me Me, whose hungry mouth is pressed Against your ample, perky breast You look at me with sparkling eyes And utter those sweet whispering sighs; The tiara I gave you, you proudly wear Above the bangs upon your hair; In your bosom my head has lain I’ve chased you through the pouring rain. My mother and father alone made me But, God alone made you, I see.

Well, I'm glad, Darlene. It is a parody, and parodies are supposed to be fun. It was Kilmer's "Trees" that was often considered a poor write.
