Wistful Dreams
Sweet Dreams
I remember when in ancient times
I saw you on a desert oasis
Like a pebble thrown into a pool
The foggy image my eyes imagined
My nighttime sleep yearns for those dreams
That is etched in my memory of your beauty
A woman draped in orange honey silk veils
As a gracefully gentle breeze caresses
Lifting the silk veils in the air floating in a dance
Leaves me fumbling as I reach out to embrace
This vision of beauty
You vanish like a reflection in a pool of water
As ripples spread when a single pebble is dropped in
Circling on and on spreading from the center
I wander in a fog wistfully waiting of dreams
About a breathtaking fantasy
Drifting in the depth of orange honey silk veils
Find the beauty of love
Adrift upon the sea with a flicker of hope
Of a love in a far off place
Guides me to the oasis of palm trees and beauty
For the woman draped in orange honey silk veils
