Wisdom From a Beggar

Can you help me, sir? --I don't know. I don't think so. A coin in my cup, perhaps? --You'll just buy a drink and relapse Can you help me, sir? --I'm not a man of means, you know. Then just a buck for a cup of joe? --Well, ok, here you go. Can you help me, sir? --My policy is not to give to strangers. Do you think me a public danger? --Well, you're no babe in a manger. Can you help me, sir? --Yes. Can you perhaps tell me a good word? Sure can. When giving, it matters not how much. Just give of yourself ~ the personal touch.

I have to share a story. I was in Rochester NY at the time. The food in Rochester from all Nationalities is iconic and great. Some of the best foods and dishes in the world in my opinion. Wow, Michael! We were teaveling. My husband saw a man carrying a literal cross who was stopped near a restaurant so he went in and bought him some food (the man was not aware of this) Meanwhile, he crosses my path, pointing at my car. It was dark outside and one of our lights wasn’t working.

Thanks for sharing, Michael. Perhaps the 'work' he did for that sub was getting past the hot peppers! Keep up the good works! ~ gw

a sign saying Will work for Food. I stopped the car and as much that I was hungry I called him over and gave him my sub. He was very thankful and I told him to thank Jesus instead of me. As I was driving away I relaized i di not give him the soda I bought and forgot the sub had hot peppers. I hope the peppers did not bother him too much. True story. Thnaks for posting Gershon...
