Winter Watch
It was just a small bird.
A traveler on a journey to...somewhere...
It perched on my garage roof;
watched my kitchen window for the longest time.
A feathery "sentry", guarding my domain;
And…it seemed to know me.
And so I fed it with seeds and bread
because it so diligently watched my home all winter.
I am fortunate to have such security and
Devotion from my "guard-bird".
