Winter Watch

It was just a small bird. A traveler on a journey to...somewhere... It perched on my garage roof; watched my kitchen window for the longest time. A feathery "sentry", guarding my domain; And…it seemed to know me. And so I fed it with seeds and bread because it so diligently watched my home all winter. I am fortunate to have such security and Devotion from my "guard-bird".

Hello M. L. … any morsel of food during winter is a blessing for any bird, and of course a blessing for our soul if the bird returns - thank you M. L. - Lindsay

They don't fly south like they used to; I hate to seem them all puffed up and freezing. Thanks.

So resonant. Amazing how a creature seems to know us, as you put it so well. Touching! Thanks, Gershon

There have been a few robins that seemed to know me after awhile. They'll hang around me when I'm in the yard. Makes me feel good. Thanks Gershon.

I hate to see them freezing in the colder months. They are so sweet. Thanks again.
