Frost and moonlight mimic my unwritten page but barren trees have printed inky shadows across the brittle earth

This is a perfect description of a cold winter's night. I live in Wisconsin, and the wintertime can be just as beautiful as it is brutal. This is a wonderful poem, Carrie! I wish you the best of luck in the contest!...Many thanks for the great comments! :)
