Winter Heals
A hush comes
Over the world
As it sleeps
A solemn slumber
Silence covering the land
With snow that glistens pure
A clean slate
Decay and death smoothed over
Forgotten and forgiven
A fresh start
Distress and unease
Put to rest
In the guise of
The gift of time
That soothes and heals
With sweet surrender
