Wind Chimes
Wind chimes
they tinkle
with hellish pride
ring-tingling eardrums
knock-knocking on my mind
sing-a-long, children
with huge black eyes
it started so quietly
whispering of fairies
and teacups and crumpets
with crumbs
contracting fast and furious
a tortuous twister
a seasonal labor pain
the toxic sound off the charts
the itty bitty eyes dart back and forth
like a gruesome clock on the wall
Wind chimes suddenly die
Lifting off
like a flying saucer
I see them go…
