What is this ridiculous obsession ~ perhaps a case of simple vanity? There's so much more to life than warped arrogant narcicism. I'm obviously more than these pesky extra pounds around my waist and few deep wrinkles on my face yet still it manages to monopolize my moods and daily thoughts. I seem to spend my time reminding mirror and self, much like repeating a mantra, that I am the sum total of my years. Meanwhile I'll wait patiently for this brain to start embracing the golden age of wisdom. AP: Honorable Mention 2025

Line, You share the trials well, by singing to the choir. Wonderful and light-hearted, hope you never outgrow such a kind sensibility. -Richard

So true, Line. We must learn to accept that we are the accumulation of our whole life. In my case, it took 80 years for me to be who I am now. It's not likely to change much in the short run. Thanks for sharing your thoughts us through your fine poetry, my friend. Have a pleasant weekend. Bill

The words 'Vanity, vanity, all is vanity' CLEARLY refer to the BATHROOM VANITY. ~ King Sol
