I lived for 16 years in Montana. It is astounding how fast a wildfire can move across prairie or mountain. I have the ultimate respect for the smoke jumpers who risk life and limb to save anything possible. A marvelous Haiku my friend. I have to save this one as a favorite.

I respect anyone that is willing to risk their life to help others or save lives and those unable to help themselves. Thanks for the comments and the FAV, my friend. Do you still live in Montana? Have a great week. Bill

Good gracious, Bill, everything o.k? We have these wildfires in Western NC too. In Gatlinburg, Tennessee they have to close Dollywood sometimes because of wildfires. Great senryu writing. Yuletide blessings to you & Sara. ~

I've been fortunate Tom, never been very close to one. They can destroy the forest very quickly. Thanks for the comment, my friend. Bill
