Why We Write

We write to communicate With ourselves more than anyone else. We try to tell ourselves our first language. The one everyone knows. Remember, we only truly remember What we have already loved. And lewd in our looting we lurk Through the well-worn recanting of wiser gods.

I really like this original piece, in your own words. You keep it simple and you speak the truth. This is the essence of poetry. You took a snapshot of the world and now we can see the world, with more clarity. There is much wisdom and philosophy in the process of communication. The deeper we communicate, the more we shall learn about God's world. Keep sharing.

There's an exercise where you write with the hand that is less dominant that makes communication even deeper. Nice writing, love the first stanza.
