Why Should I Refrain
Mystified why I needed to hold myself back
I argued with my muse
Who gave my brain waves a crack.
Let me decide my muse sang with glee.
I am the sole voice of reason and in charge of thee.
I am your imagination, I am your playful side.
I can do what you cannot; for I have no need to hide.
Why should I refrain? I asked her at length.
She rolled her eyes
And turned my imagination a bright blood red pink.
Let me decide my muse sang with glee.
I am the sole voice of reason and in charge of thee.
I am your imagination, I am your playful side.
I can do what you cannot; for I have no need to hide.
Surely you are not the kuku we find in the nest
She said in her haughty way
Of putting me into a whirl wind fest.
Let me decide my muse sang with glee.
I am the sole voice of reason and in charge of thee.
I am your imagination, I am your playful side.
I can do what you cannot; for I have no need to hide.
But I am impulsive, I argued my way.
Watching her eyes narrow as she came my way.
I surely get some say at the end of the day.
Let me decide my muse sang with glee.
I am the sole voice of reason and in charge of thee.
I am your imagination, I am your playful side.
I can do what you cannot; for I have no need to hide.
So I decided to give in
For her refrain was sound.
I am lying in my bed
Sneak writing around.
