Why Not
What’s wrong with our culture
That we’re so deathly afraid
To talk about death and dying
It’s a process we will all go through
In one way or another
Yet hush hush it’s taboo
Don’t want to talk about it
Don’t want to hear about it
We’re so tense and uptight
Keeping our thoughts private at all cost
Can’t expect any tête-à-tête discussion
Because people say the oddest things
As the process of our life slips away
What a relief it would be
To share and discuss openly
