Why I Matter
Philosophers bid us
Neither mock our fellow humans
Nor scorn any living thing
For every person has his hour
And every creature special power
Who among us can really say
When he will finally have his day
Or for what noble purpose
He was fashioned--
For what grand design or passion
Could it perchance be just for this?
For these very words right here?
That my DNA all came together
To lend the world this humble verse
Lines of blessing and good cheer
