Why Do We Do It

Seven percent Learn best by hearing Are not lectures a waste? Children are hurt Hearing adult stuff So why do we tell them? Probably know Prejudice hurts all, So why do we do it? Children as pawns, Between their parents. Why do we hurt them more? We know better Brain research helps us Why do we not use it? Question yourself Often or never Is this not up to you?

I always think "why are we wasting their time?" "Why are we wasting our time?" "Why do brain research and still do lectures?" Out of 500 people in a lecture hall, only 35 are still listening after 15 minutes. This is proven. Duh! And I am NOT one of them.

Your first question certainly sums it all up!!… Real teachers, wherever we/they may be found---at home, in the workplace, in the fields, in factories, wherever---know that the mind, the heart, and the body must be 100% engaged AND that we learn by doing. Nice write, CK! :) gw
