Why Are You Here

As I lay here dormant; Why? are you here? Someone's in the audience Few are crying There's an Elder, Minister, Pastor speaking of me What are all these people doing here Where's the mirror Look at them are they real Tears flowing Where is this all going More people here now Than most of my life alive What is this prerequisite Why are you here You never were in my present In life Some mistreated, misguided lied insulted; Kept me down wore a frown laugh snuff mistrusted; As I lay here dormant; Why? are you here? Someone's in the audience Few are crying Lying here dorment, must be dead; Asleep Why you here why you crying You never loved nor like me My empty rotten body Spirit flown Soul gone Lying here dorment, must be dead; Asleep 12/17/18 written by James Edward Lee Sr.
