Why Are We Here
Listen to poem:
Ask not: "Why we are here?"
But, how to do best
at just being
here, there and round about.
The fisher's quest is
not really to catch fish,
but to enjoy just being there
out in the wilderness.
Casting lures into the magnificent sea
or into the wondrous waters
of a languid lake or river sinuous.
Alone or with a mate.
A hook-up is just an annoying chore.
Life without fishing is
such a bore!
Adore the being,
here and there!
