Why Are There

Why are there great white puffy clouds like galleons of cotton only a child's eye can see? Why are there fields bursting with man-tall cornstalks and lush carpets of pasture worth much more than a thousand kings? Why does the snow fall so gently, solemn and perfect in beauty as it layers all, both great and small? Why does rain change its tempo-- sometimes a tinkle, sometimes a roar? Why does a watermelon taste different than a cantaloupe? Why do we love? Why do we hate, when rocks get by quite well without it?
