Who Am I
Who Am I
I know that I was loved
but I knew I was different.
My family didn't treat me
different but I knew that I
was.
Then as I grew my parents
looked like strangers.
Because I didn't look like
them at all.
They felt a change in me and
they finally told me I was adopted.
I was not mad I was relieved.
The truth made me feel normal.
My parents told me that I had
a identical twin sister.
I was crushed because I was
the only child. I had a sister?
They told me at the time they
couldn't afford to care for another
child. But said, they wished they had.
I asked where my birth mother was
and they said they didn't know
Because it was a closed adoption.
I was devastated.
If it takes the rest of my life I will
find my family.
Although I was loved all my life
there was always something
missing.
Now I know the truth but ..........
