Who Am I

They know me by my thoughts, they know me by my name, They know me by my face, they know me by my deeds, but they do not know me at all! In the prison of existence, there are many such names, many such faces, and thoughts, egos tethered to physical forms, but none of them know themselves at all! that I could be you and you could be me, is the first hope of true quest, that leads us to absolute knowledge, when the delusion fades in light of truth, and we realise we are not separate at all! we are but whispers of eternity, that continuously seems to change forms, we move from living to non-living, like occurrences of of sunrise and sunsets, but nothing in reality changes at all! in flowing ocean of this creation, the droplet in the ocean, is the ocean in the droplet, the deception is in the perception of it, in the light of wisdom, this maya will fall! that we exist as separate beings, is because of the greed of ownership, if you think of the world as all of you, if suffering of all is part of you, then you are one with God and all of us!!

Such fine stanzas, Krish. I enjoyed your poem throughout. I love the idea that "we are but whispers of eternity." And yet, this brief moment in time is so important to us. Wonderful writing!

Thank you Milton. This is the essence of Vedanta philosophy which comes from ancient sages. Vedanta is not about any religion ot belief- but it defines knowledge that helps us to understand ourselves and our relation to the universe.
