My friend Robertina B. has once again inspired me to write a  poem.  The source of my inspiration was her remarkable poem, "Lies," posted on her site on April 18, 2018.  Thank you for the inspiration, Robertina!

The one who lies or the one lied to ~Who does the lie hurt more? Note: In the last line, the word 'Who' technically should be 'Whom.' The writer prefers that it remain a technicality.

Good question... I tend to think the liar would in the long run - that could be wishful thinking. A great question. Would be a profound discussion

Me, too. Only, I'd say I'm pretty sure that the liar usually hurts himself/herself more. Thank you for the beginning of a worthwhile discussion. :) gw

What can I say? ---Perhaps this: It takes one to know one. (Even that is too arrogant, truth be told). I'm humbled, Maureen. :)

fabulous questionku. I despise being lied to Gershon and it has caused such hurt in my life with family members - I will say no more I prefer to dwell on happier issues:-) hugs jan xx
