Seven-Ten
Created by Emile J. Pinet in 2018, (Seven-Ten), (must be centered). There should be a distinctive pattern. Do not use blank spaces to create shape, use words. A non rhyme, twenty two line verse poem with (190 Syllables)- 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7
When the sun is shining bright
we feel its warmth on our skin.
And somehow we suddenly feel at peace,
with worries unconsciously put on pause
our sensitive side preserves the moment.
Breathing in a breath of air
reminds us that we're alive.
Life is too short; we should pay attention
as it tugs heartstrings with a gentle hand
and shares the subtle splendors of nature.
Forget fate's complexities
they get simpler over time.
Think back to the innocence of childhood
when youth was an unexplored adventure,
and we looked forward to everything new.
When a songbird sweetly sings,
its tune triggers love's response.
Crushed by the weight of reality's world,
we allot no time for life's simpler things,
yet death can instantly cut our stay short.
We've only one life to live,
best we live it while we can.
