Where's Love Gone

Peeled your shadow from the chasms in my mind Plucked it out, threw it away Nothings left now not one thing left to remind Me of those tearful yesterdays Wiped away those stains from your cheating lies Soaked them up, in crumpled heaps Light glows dimly as it wanes behind my eyes My dreams lie empty in my sleep Where's love gone... gone... gone... Where'd it go? Lost forever between darkness and new dawn Where we were lovers, long ago Closed the window that leads straight into my heart Sealed it tight, then hid the key No way back inside to tear my life apart I've built strong walls to protect me Where's love gone... gone... gone... Where'd it go? Lost forever between darkness and new dawn Where we were lovers, long ago Where's love gone... gone... gone... Where'd it go? Lost forever between darkness and new dawn Where we were lovers, long ago Where's love gone... gone... gone... Where'd it go? Lost forever between darkness and new dawn Where we were lovers, long ago For Emile Pinet Competition

Nice lyric Jane, I didn't know there was another songwriter here, other than the three guys, now you so that's great! Do you sing? Have you recorded anything? I have a couple of songs here one called Sometimes the other is My heart has found a home, just click on the link and the song will play. Take care! JD

Thanks again John, I'm a self taught lyricist. I have no musical experience at all, I don't sing or play any instruments. I love words. You are very welcome to check out my free online lyrics magazine at www.writeawaymagazine.co.uk also welcome to submit articles to it should you so desire. Once again, thank you for your lovely comment.
