Where's It Written
Where's it written that a man can't cry
a single tear; of love, hate, or rage?
Must he be content to live and die,
never once having stepped off his stage?
I pray that you stay with all my heart,
is it selfish to need you so much?
Your leaving is tearing me apart,
for I long for your sensual touch.
Shall we wash our dreams away with tears,
and erase all traces of our love?
I beg you; please stay, and calm my fears,
we fit each other like a worn glove.
If I cannot convince you with words,
search my heart; and there you'll find your soul.
For, like the wind that carries the birds,
only together can we be whole.
