Where Your Tax Dollars Go

there was a man who was partying with his friends out in the middle of nowhere one evening & as the night when on, he became intoxicated. the following morning, he got behind the wheel of his car (alone) & drove rather fast down a dirt road, trying to take a corner that he probably would not have (had he been a little more awake or a little less drunk), and instead of making it, his car took him straight over the bank & into a pond. being that the car had flipped over before flying into the water, it began to sink as it filled up quickly (the windows were down), and said man coming to, from the initial shock of flying over the bank, pushed the door open, swimming back up to the surface & got out in the nick of time. eventually, after walking soaked to find help, the man got hospital attention & then the boys in blue showed up. the man was given a ticket for speeding & also one for not wearing a seatbelt--- the man looked up at the cops, asking how they came to the conclusion that he hadn’t been wearing one? “if you had been wearing your seatbelt, you would have died,” they said.
