Where You Went

Search of your thoughts Didn't find me there What I had to say You didn’t want to hear, When I offered a smile You held your frown Upon seeing me there You looked down, That's when I heard you But it wasn't my name Still, I told you I love you just the same, When I seized your eyes You looked the other way And I saw her there Where you went. Love hurts (reminds me of the 70s song by Nazareth.) especially when not reciprocated. ~ Regards // paul

Hi Vijay, such a sad little gem from your pen. Your words create a canvas that sings with sad emotion. Such sadness always sings within the heart. Your creativity shines again and again my friend. You always play the heart-stings so well. Have a wonderful Friday. Your friend always....Mike.

Vijay, unrequited love stings, yet when those feelings form they linger long past a time of relinquishing them. But when you love someone unconditionally you want them to be happy which you so beautifully convey in this lovely poem. I can realate. ; )

Hello Vijay, This one is a said one. "Lost Love" is always a poignant theme worthy of continuous exploration. Like all circumstances of this nature, there are always situations and themes charged with emotions, sadness, and disappointment. Superb Work!! Cheers and Best, Gary (P.S. Thanks for your recent comment on my poem "Tender Emotions." I posted another one today: "Deepest Memories and Thoughts." You might find it interesting too!!) All the best!! Cheers, Gary
