Dementia...so sad it exists

I dreamt I was young, timely witty and smart... again I'm almost a hundred, Ya know, and... Wait! What was it I am talking about... again Quote This Poetry Contest Sponsor: Rick Parise 1/17/2023

Good one Charlie! Now if I could only remember where I put my pen and sunglasses! I love the quote "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!" Oh, now I remember the purpose of this message - sending you congrats and high fives! Off to find my sunglasses. Blessings.

Even if you can't remember, lovely dreams like this are much better than nightmares. Good thoughts, Charlie.

Cant think of a nicer dream than to be smart, witty and young again. Even if you do forget the dream soon after. A special poem Charlie, we will all be there some day, some sooner than others.

Noteworthy! I got a call from my Uncle-in-law because he thought he was calling his daughter (with the same first name). Still what a welcoming call as it was the last time I got to speak to him. He was a published author and a poet with an interesting background. His brother played in the movie Black Beauty as the little brother. My uncle was saved from drowning by Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan). Cool, right! And yes had dementia in the end.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Uncle-in-law, Kim. That is so cool about both his brother and your uncle. I loved to watch those old Johnny Weissmuller "Tarzans" ...and still do! Thanks for sharing! Hugs
