Where Faith Remains
Sweet life you have given this challenge to me
To know my mettle be steady and real
To carry these burdens without any glory
So with every breath I struggle and heal
I feel fear thunder and roar deep inside me
While I wait for the cool cleansing rain to fall
Then lift my rested spirit bravely up and set it free
With the hero's fire that burns inside of us all

My journey must go beyond waiting and longing
To a place where dreams will have no chains
Where each day has a sweet new dawning
Where hope is gone........but faith remains

As promises keep pushing me onward
My uphill life tests me on its long pathway
For wishing is a hollow and empty word
That silences courage each and every day
To stand tall in this sweet life is a promised story
