When You Wonder and Wander
Are they the drowned out or washed away
Or captured art when they design their face
The uneven pavements, bricks curved with skill
The scaffold on a building, that won't fall until
They believe that their problems
Amount to more than their gifts
That sullied puddles, full of glass
Make for impassable routes
That mean they have to turn back
If they look to the sky
And can't see past a crane
Shaded by shadows and doused by the rain
The half way point between station and destination
Viewed through different eyes
With different moods dictating
Whether overlain with beauty
Or nestled into the despicable
The journey from the train
Eyes open or closed
To alight or be on the sleeper
Ten minutes of your time
To see
