As you wilt under age's burning breath,
And wither slow under its deadly blight,
Do not despair and lose your inner sight.
Take great care of your body, soul and health.
When grown old, don't scorn and disdain the young,
Whose sky is far wider and dreams, endless,
Who are able to do feats, limitless,
Rather, think of songs in days gone, you've sung.
Though your steps falter and energy wane,
Over past, don't let your mind be distraught
But grow wiser through lessons, life has taught
And fuel your mind with happy thoughts, sane.
