When You Are Old
Often things can get strange when you are old
because there is bound to appear to you
ailments that become more than just a few -
problems as a child you were never told.
If you’re expecting to live golden years,
I’m here to tell you don’t set the bar high.
Never did I think I might want to die.
Slowly but surely great health disappears.
I never imagined I’d see the start
of incontinence and dimming of eyes.
Eat right and keep up with your exercise.
Especially of your brain and your heart!
