When You Are Not Here

The world is so pale when you are not here So ghastly white and sickly green I swear the people aren’t even what they seem The world is so fragile The sidewalk will crumble and break with each step that I take When you are nowhere in sight The skies are no longer blue they are black So vividly dark as my mood when you are taken ill I feel the pain you thrived on for many days afterwards still The scenery stays the same Yet I feel the change of the weakest knees and trembling shoulders When you aren’t around to keep me sturdy. I mourn when you are not here. So get better soon, find a will and a way to survive the afternoons Because for now the shades are fading in and out and I am growing more transparent We are one so without you I am also not here
