When Summer is Gone

With the season’s cyclic turn summer’s blinding brilliance gives way to soft fading light and duskiness clouds move swiftly across the blue sky fleeting past the drowsing sun. Leaves rustle gently in cool breeze. nature’s palette is ready with new hues. green color gives way to multi shades. Maples stand proud flaunting their leaves, of red, yellow, gold and ochre. Acorns hang like earrings from needle pines. flowers that blossomed under warmth and light, are fast fading out and withering away. it is amazing how nature carries out, its revamping with each changing season! Though golden moments are lost in time’s passing let us gladly embrace the seasons of our life. in each phase, a truth before us is unveiled. let us relish the wisdom and quietude autumn and the sunset years bring.

Sweet valsa, I absolutely love how you’ve written for this prompt in such a seamless manner with such creative imagery flowing so eloquently. The descriptive nature of your word weaving really is impressive! I especially love the lines “ Acorns hang like earrings from needle pines. flowers that blossomed under warmth and light” wow what a simile! And what a way to describe! And amidst fleeting time and fading seasons, one must always learn to accept and embrace whatever comes our way, that you’ve reminded so very well here dear valsa! I love the ending, how youv delivered a reminder to your readers and the wordplay here is exquisite, and elegant! Pleasure reading this! Best wishes! A fave again for me

Loved the word "revamping" and when nature does carry it out, we get a piece of changes too, not just plants and flowers. It feels like our needs, wants and some favourite things change too. Every season brings a new memory and light. Just like the colour of our dresses improve our mood for the day. "Though golden moments are lost in time’s passing let us gladly embrace the seasons of our life." Yeah! And we thank the heavens for memories, it helps us reflect on those happy or sad days. Cheers V
