When Silence Speaks
a salted tongue
the truth
unsung
grit in teeth
silence speaks
nothing aired
breath, not shared
aches inside
can't abide
throat/words
stuck fast
unheard
run right past
stray thoughts are cast
rope bridge is frayed
mistakes are made
a dead weight
will still agitate
nothing heard
as snaps in two
cries unconsoled
by empty you
