Grief is my, human nature- In life the endless deaths the broken lost dreams. Some have strength, courage, to stand strong but weep deep within. Some will say that I am so weak, for I cried an ocean when I pulled life support. ________________________ September 9, 2018 Poetry/Verse/When Mother Died Copyright Protected, ID 18-1051-0909-01 All Rights Reserved. Dear Heart, congratulations on your win and your poignant description. The choice referred to in your poem truly denotes courage and strength. But the grief runs deep just the same. We went through it with my wife's father and my mother too. ~Mark

It must have been an agonising decision to have to make. It would have been for the best D.H. , only time will ease your pain. It's because of the love within you that you're experiencing it. Tom

Yes, dear poetic friends, I cried an ocean or maybe two but you have no idea how much strength it took to be the one to say, "turn off the machines" . . . it is like a dagger in my heart that never ever will go away.
