When Memories Cure

I lost my sleep to a painful elbow, whatever I did, suffering did not go, daughter in next room, son in another, but last night, I missed my dear old mother! I would not have been so lonely in pain, she would have cared for me in endless chain, shuffling through the darkness in her old age, applying care for a motherly wage. stayed up all night in tearful agony, memories of her care there were many, by early dawn, I slipped into slumber, cured by love is all I could remember Written 4/July/2021

A heart touching write. That is the reason they say in scriptures Mata, pita, guru and daivata

Thanks Rama. This is actually true and I did my elbow gardening! She would have been there normally joining me in gardening and to tend to my pain at night.

wow, this is so profound and poignant. Two kinds of pain, physical and loss of a loved one, but tied into a splendid little poem
