When An Alien Landed One Day
When an alien landed one day
(having come to earth from a long way),
he got out of his craft,
and then some earthlings laughed
at the things that he wanted to say.
“There’s a leader,” he said, “and we’ve heard
that he always must have the last word.
All those twitters and such,
yet he doesn’t know much!
All the universe finds him absurd.”
“Will you take me to him?” asked that creature.
“On my planet, I am a great teacher.
So they sent me to meet
this great man of the Tweet,
and his background I’m eager to feature.
In a documentary I’ll show
how this man through the door got his toe.
How a person so blind
came to lead his mankind
all my galaxy’s dying to know.
In addition, my purpose is to
study up on your world, all of you,
and the info that brings
me to comprehend things
that our own planet never should do.”
