What Will It Take
What Will It Take
What will it take for world to satisfy itself?
It has put itself through much misery,
along with confusion and consternation.
Suffering can be seen and us surrounds.
Terror continues to take its terrible toll.
God up above, what should we be doing?
There must be something required to
Remove all of insane suffering and pain.
How hurtful and harmful all of this is.
Have searched deeply in my soul for answers.
I have heard fluttering tree leaves and oceans
Roaring as waves fall upon the bright beaches.
Mountain tops are full of snow seeming so quiet.
Many prairies do abound and are all around.
I seek them to obtain comfort and support from God.
What I am left with is two choices to make.
My unsettled mind has become full of nightmares.
God's Son will soon come back and return again.
I can either accept this fact and wait for his return
Or I can write poems and become involved.
After completed God's great arms will lift me up.
I will be there in heaven forever and forever.
Lonely and suffering never again will I be
Knowing that God's love is always with me.

Marjory Wentworth is Poet Laureate
of South Carolina. It would be interesting
to have the email address of every poet
laureate in every State for me to email
my poems to. It would also be interesting
if they were combined together and
formed their own website.
