What Needs To Be Said and Done
What needs to be said and done
Instead of getting wiser We get forgetful
We think we can still do Everything with ease
Can’t do the things The way we used to
Forgetting we get older As if time could stand still
While our weary bones Tell a different story
And mirrors reflect The passing of years
We used to be fearless But can't afford the luxury
One careless miscalculation And we’d be sorry
Things are different Not only in our heads
Less busy doing More preoccupied with being
Thinking about what Needs to be said and done
Before it’s final curtains And time to say goodbye
