Love isn’t about
The many times you cried
It is about the moments
When you smiled and laughed
With joy that poured out light
Into your heart and soul
Love isn’t about
The many times you failed
It is about that one day
When everything felt just right
And all your heart was alive
With the music of a tender delight
Love isn’t about
The many times you doubted
It is about that special faith
You had in the one you loved
The one who taught you that hope
Comes from giving of your trust
Love isn’t about
The many times you worried
It is about that certainty
Inspiring your soul to dream
And believe in the acceptance
Of a heart who keeps on wishing
Love isn’t about
The times it let you down
It is about the times when it lifted you up
Breathed peace through your heart
Colored your life in a promise of affection
Elation from knowing God has surely blessed you….
