What Is This Thing Prejudice---Part I

WHAT IS THIS THING PREJUDICE--- I AM black my skin is dark It's 1940 why must I sit in the back My fellow man is lighter than I'm part of the caravan Trying be included in, equality what is this thing prejudice God made me, made you Matter's not if we're gray, blue or green His image I AM red original American Where are all my people Indians What reservations what is this thing prejudice I'm part of the caravan Trying be included in, not erased God made me, made you Matter's not if we're gray, blue or green His image what is this thing prejudice Here's just a few men populated seven, all forms, yes there's colors in heaven different colors of dirt for all it's worth our soul/spirit first what is this thing prejudice encase in clay various in shades just what is? Being made in His image Look into the mirror Into your eyes the window to your soul There's no more room prejudice anymore For when we die we're all dry bones what is this thing prejudice Git to the front of the bus Put on the skins of Jesus What reservations I'm part of the caravan Trying be included in, not erased God made me, made you Matter's not if we're gray, blue or green His image Here's just a few men populated seven, all forms, yes there's colors in heaven different colors of dirt for all it's worth our soul/spirit first encase in clay various in shades just what is? Being made in His image Look into the mirror Into your eyes the window to your soul There's no more room prejudice anymore For when we die we're all dry bones what is this thing prejudice Git to the front of the bus Put on the skins of Jesus 1/13/19 Written words by James Edward Lee Sr.©2019
