What Is Prayer

What is prayer but a plea for guidance unanswered lost in a crowded voice mail box cursed by the “prayer”. What is the answer to a prayer and why so hard to understand that the messenger seldom announces themselves. So do not judge the package through which the answer is delivered be ever alert for the rustling of leaves and simple voices listen for the subtle shades of sunlight coaxing the seeds of awakening. For what is prayer but a “chit-chat” with the universe a supplication of a celestial consciousness for vision. John G. Lawless ©6/14/20018

John, I think it would be nice to take you down to my spring and talk about such things. Pretend to be philosophers. Obviously, while fishing. wouldn't matter if we caught anything or not:) Loved your poem about payer.

...and we probably wouldn't have to say much either.....for a shared silence is often the essence of prayer.
