What Is Love, That You Are My Lover
Bassoon..... yesterday is the night before today
tomorrow might I gain love
from morning to evening
might I find one to trust.
Than with loves indefinite meaning,
the investment of two,
might gain a greater understanding
to what is right as lovers do.
she loves me, than is angered
she loudly say we're through.
she call's me the next evening and ask's
what are we gonna do.
she stands on her virtue, and her morality speaks against my need.
she refuses to allow me to love her
but I might spend my time and money
and treat her as a Queen.
You are right in loving
that I love her for what causes me to rethink
she say's women are smarter than men
now what is that for a man to think.
She eats without paying
and wears clothes she hasn't made.
she sleeps and troubles
and causes grief,
and she owes me, and I am her slave.
My friends think I'm foolish
her friends don't think we are right.
They introduce her to my replacement
and wishes he would make her his wife.
I wish to talk so I retrieve her.
The night is a costly event.
She again tell's me we are over,
and ask how much time did we spend.
She is gifted with alternatives,
and I am to be glad she's mine?
As foolish as this sounds, this is tame.
You should hear the story from a friend of mine.
I did, what and said what,
and that's the precurcer
and say's that's what you get.
A woman who refuses to love you,
and a waste of time that you have spent.
