What If This Is As Good As It Gets

one day you wake up and the dreams you had have drifted out of reach what was keeping you afloat the illusion the buoy with time disintegrated your dreams now out of reach you've drifted out into the middle of the deep blue sea alone no ship in sight not another soul what if this is as good as it gets? lost in the middle of nowhere floating ~ drifting with the currents what if there's nothing left to hope for? a silence most unbearable till angry voices take refuge in my head i now beg for the silence to return what if this is as good as it gets? Great poem Miss Line. I don't believe this is good as it gets. I am sure the heaven we will see and experience will be far greater than we can ever imagine.

Sometimes our dreams shatter and we wonder do we expect to much in life, one thing we should never give up on our dreams, keep chasing them and who knows we might be lucky. Tom

Thoughtful and certainly something I, personally, have experienced many times over....You bring to the forefront of our days the humdrum reality of most and the perpetual dread that lingers in our psyches: a knowledge that what we are currently seeing or have seen is probably all we should reasonably expect. I really enjoyed your poem. Good job.
