What do you take me for

I told you to run while you had the chance But all you heard was Let’s go on another shopping spree I hoped you regretted it Because I didn’t do this for nothing My hands colored with what looks like red paint But why isn’t it I guess we know where this is heading Maybe this is the destined ending Not yet, I say not yet I still haven’t said my regrets I regret meeting u I regret us Maybe all u did was lust But I was in love But I guess that didn’t matter It’s over now “Your crazy but I like that” says the girl I murdered How do you like me now You think you played me, But I wonder What do you take me for

Dear Poetess, Welcome to Poetry Soup. I really felt the raw, emotional journey in your words. I love how each line is a brushstroke of regret and longing. Again, welcome to Poetry Soup! I think you will find many great people and poems. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
