What Do I Hope To Gain
Have you ever wanted something different
But you have no idea what
This happened to me, so I paused and stopped
And listened to myself.
Nothing was forthcoming so I ate a chocolate candy.
One was not enough.
So I ate another.
And another.
What are you hoping for? The chocolate sweetness asked.
Where is your jumping off point?
What do you hope to gain?
There is an eternal searching for something more but what?
I knew I needed something new that would be thrilling, fabulous, and eclectic.
I sighed, reaching for another piece of chocolate.
What is it we are seeking I asked it.
It gave me no answers.
Finding it is nigh onto impossible with this candy staring at me.
