What Comes After
Melancholy moments of finality,
ash memories
Passion's last embers extinguished
No thought of what comes next ...
what has just left
eclipses every drenched emotion
Does a tear to a smile transformation truly exist?
Any childhood belief
would serve a needful adult purpose,
when desiring
to be filled up again
on the inside
Whatever comes after
the torrential heartaching storm,
any calm
will be blessed relief
And as the dark clouds of doubt
disappear into the ether,
the light of an uncertain future
guide your thoughts with searching hope
Soothing the ebbing pain
with an unexpected fetal wave
of womb comforting
Long forgotten days of new birth
joyous crying
